How does The WHM Club work?
As a member of The WHM Club, each month you are invited to three live online sessions:
  • 'On The Move' - a goal setting & planning workshop to help you establish clear goals (however small) and make real progress towards achieving them. You will get feedback from a me, a professional coach, and tips from your peers.

  • A Masterclass run by me or a specialist guest expert to equip you with the skills, strategies and new ways of thinking that will empower you to create the career and life that works for you in your own unique way.

  • 'Career Conversations' - a session to share your work-related questions, concerns and challenges and get advice and feedback from the hive mind.

Our live sessions are run through Zoom. If you can't make it to a session, you won't miss out - most are recorded for you to listen in to any time.

Also included in your membership:

  • An (optional) Accountability Partner to help you stay motivated and on track with getting to where you want to be.

  • WHM Job Seekers, with bi-weekly meet-ups full of job search advice, support and encouragement for mums who are figuring out what's next in their careers, or actively on the hunt for their next family-friendly job.

  • A range of social/ networking events, bringing us together to meet, exchange and to get know each other in-person. Think after-work drinks, Karaoke, Sunday brunches and more.

  • The WHM Club's private Facebook group - a supportive and welcoming place to connect with other members, ask questions and share information and resources.

  • A safe and empowered environment and a community of supportive women to cheer you on and walk through working motherhood with.

All activities in The WHM Club are optional. You can participate as much or as little as you like.

What members of The WHM Club have to say

The WHM Club is made up of wonderful women with all kinds of backgrounds, careers and ambitions. Our 'employee' mums work in a range of fields including tech, academic research, media, politics, HR and sales and marketing. And then there are the mums with hustle who are running their own businesses - relocation, coaching, online marketing, copywriting, storytelling, art education and fitness and well-being.

Here is what some of our past and current members have to say about The WHM Club:

The WHM Club is a brilliant combination of networking, professional and personal development and shared learning, all with like-minded women. I feel as though I've finally found a community where I truly belong, and a place where I feel able to openly share the challenges of life as a working mum. - Tara
You will find the most supportive, understanding and motivating tribe of women in The WHM Club. The Club helped me regain my sparkle and brought into my life a community of incredibly strong and inspiring women, who I am now happy to call my friends. - Diana
In The WHM Club I feel I'm making the headway in my business that I've been wanting for quite some time. It is great knowing I can share what's on my mind and will get lots of supportive and honest support and feedback. And having an accountability partner who I regularly check in with is great for keeping me on track. - Ania
Melanie is passionate, genuine, challenging and supportive. Best of all, she practices what she preaches and is incredibly open and honest about her own experiences as a working mum. - Sarah
The WHM club is such a lovely community to be a part of, I definitely recommend joining. I've really enjoyed meeting like minded women, sharing knowledge and learning new strategies to work and live in a better way. The accountability partnering is really useful and helps keep goals on track. Melanie is a wonderful, caring and wise guide - Gemma
The WHM Club has helped me find professional direction and kept me on the path to my goals. It opened up Pandora’s box in my private life, but only to then start many conversations and a better way to communicate with my partner. We are both in a better place right now then when I joined The Club, and have aligned our vision and goals for the future. - Kim
I originally joined The WHM Club for networking, but have got so much more out of it than that. The monthly goal setting and the weekly chats with my accountability partner have transformed the way I live and work. - Kath
All I can say is, I wish I'd joined sooner! - Anja

Your questions answered

These are my answers to your most common questions about The WHM Club:

Q: I’m a freelancer/ business owner/ marketing director, HR business partner/creative/returning mother/career changer (fill in the blank). Is The WHM Club for me?

A: The WHM Club is for all mums who want to create change at work and at home, however small that change might be. The unique combination of personal and professional growth you will go through will change up your career or business, no matter your industry or career stage. So far in The WHM Club we’ve had great feedback from everyone from doctors to digital marketers, stylists to economists, PHD students to yoga teachers, as well as many women returning from career breaks.

Q: Now isn’t the right time for me, when will The WHM Club next be open?

A: The doors to The Club open three times a year. The next new member intake will be in August 2025 for Season 24 of The Club starting on 1 September. Whether you’re wanting to make big changes or small tweaks, the life that you want is out there, waiting for you to grab it. I’d say come and join us as soon as possible, don’t wait!

Q: I’m really busy at the moment. What if I don’t have time to keep up?

A:
The WHM Club is designed to fit around busy lifestyles. Whilst you can go deep and invest significant time, you can see real benefits to your career and life by just committing an hour a week. There’s actually lots in The WHM Club that may in fact save you time in the long run. And getting some parts of your life sorted may free up time elsewhere. If you can’t make it to an online Super Power session, you won’t miss out. Most sessions are recorded so you can catch up when you’re ready. So don’t let busyness be a reason not to give it a go.

Q: I know I want to make changes in my life, but I just don’t feel I can afford it right now.

A: I know how it feels not to have any spare cash and be worried about committing to something sight unseen. I’ve been there myself. But remember, you’re only committing to 4 months. After that you’ll have the option to renew and continue your membership if you think The WHM Club is a good fit for you.

Q: How do I know if this is right for me?

A: You don’t! But trust me! And remember you are only committing to a period of 4 months. Come in and give it a go. You’ve nothing to lose and potentially masses to gain!

Q: I don’t like Facebook. Will this stop me getting full value from The WHM Club?

A: Most of what we do is off Facebook. Our private online community is on Facebook, but the best conversations happen in person and on our live Super Power sessions online. So not being on Facebook won't hold you back from jumping over those barriers that hold us mums back from being the best we can be at work and at home. Try out your membership and see for yourself.
